Southwell (AW) 7:00 Result

Top-rated on 60 alongside La Belle Forest but with a much stronger recent trajectory - form figures 574642 show progressive improvement, finishing 2nd last time in (7 days ago) and clearly in form. Michael Bell is a shrewd trainer and Hector Crouch takes over, with the booking suggesting confidence. Newly fitted visor could sharpen him for this drop in grade. Weight is topped alongside La Belle Forest at 135lbs, but Koffee's runs are much more consistent than La Belle Forest, who has a wide draw (7) and hasn't shown the same recent zip having last won a while back based on the form figures. Stoneacre Joe, Torbados and Overbudget are all workmanlike types on similar marks around 57 but none show the same upward curve. My Mate Mackley (421324) is interesting with solid recent placings but is 7lbs lower rated and drawn awkwardly in a competitive sprint. Overall this looks a messy, competitive low-grade AW sprint but Koffee And Kale's man-form and rating combination stands out as the most reliable each-way/win combination without being over-bet.
