Battenburg Belle's recent form line 215331 stands out clearly from this weak Class 6 field - two wins and a third from her last three starts, running consistently well and clearly progressive as a 3yo taking on more experienced but limited-ability rivals. She's lightly raced with plenty of scope, carries the least weight (126lbs) which is a big plus in a competitive sprint handicap, and her last-time-out win (or placed effort) just 13 days ago shows she's fit and in form. Draw 4 is workable for a 6f dash at Catterick. Most rivals have moderate or fading form figures (Giant 423871, Miss Rainbow 033418, Methgal 047212, Taygar 224269) - none show the same upward trajectory. Ottawa and Neapolitan both look out of form/lightly raced recently with big layoffs or poor recent efforts. Daytona Lady has some C&D form but her figures are mixed (267728) and she's carrying more weight at 6yo without the same scope for improvement. Battenburg Belle looks the classiest and freshest in the field, with a trainer (Rebecca Menzies) who knows how to place cheaply-rated sprinters to win. She looks the one to beat on a man-versus-boys form basis and represents solid value if not sent off favourite given her superior recent figures.
