The Verdict
FormCast selectionWoohooConfidence 4/5Didn't win
Woohoo's form line reads 222222 - six straight seconds, meaning she's been running into placed money every single time at a high level of consistency, and crucially has now stepped up and is fully tuned into competitive handicap company without a stroke of bad luck needed. That sort of relentless consistency at a track/trip that clearly suits (drawn 4, low-middle, useful for a stall that can get cover into a stiff 7f) suggests she's crying out to finally break through, and with a mare's weight allowance-style profile at 78 OR she is dropped into a race full of leggy, freshly-progressive or lightly consistent rivals rather than dominant class horses. The big carousel of horses at the top of the weights - He's A Monster and Northern Express on 97 - both carry questions: He's A Monster hasn't run in 378 days, a huge layoff for a sprint handicapper, while Northern Express, though in-form (635513), is now 8yo and up in class/weight at top-rated 97, looking fully exposed. Power Fizz and Bobby Bennu are interesting round the top of the market but Power Fizz's form figures show one bad run last time (14-100) and Bobby Bennu is similarly fragile with a 0 in the recent line. Mr Noble is progressive (1-2321) for Burke/Lee and would be the market alternative, but he's already qualified into much steeper class after winning/placing in a shorter sequence and is unproven that this trip and grade combination suits him as well as a step back down. Given the sheer reliability of Woohoo's finishing position over her last six starts, she looks the value combination of solid current form and a fair each-way/win price relative to horses with more question marks. I'll take her to finally convert.
