Lingfield (AW) 2:52 Result

Kiah is clearly the class act here - only runner with an official rating (78) and the only one to have already placed, with form figures 032 showing consistent improvement including a second last time. Bred to be smart (Australia out of a Montjeu mare) and trainer Brian Meehan combined with Tom Marquand booking suggests confidence. The rest of the field are all maidens with modest form (7, 04, 5, 55) and no official ratings, suggesting they're behind on ability. Kiah's third run of the season and rising form curve points to a straightforward success against this weaker-looking bunch. She looms an obvious, if short-priced, market leader but the case for her is substance-based (a proven each-way form horse with a rating stepping up in class of form-figures against unrated maidens), not just favouritism.
