The Verdict
FormCast selectionNajidi StormConfidence 4/5Didn't win
Small field of three, and Najidi Storm stands out clearly. He's a Frankel colt out of a Juddmonte family, trained by Harry Charlton, carrying top weight of 137lbs (10lb+ more than his rivals), which reflects a strong recent winning effort (form figure "1"). Juddmonte/Charlton horses stepping up in class off a decent debut/second-run win are typically progressive and well regarded. The other two runners have form figures of 8 and 67 respectively, indicating they've either flopped or shown little at this level. Dream Of Albion's last run (8) suggests a well-beaten effort, while Wreck It Ronnie's 67 shows inconsistency and a lack of a win to date. Neither has the residual class or recent form to trouble a horse that has already won and is bred to appreciate a mile and a quarter (Frankel progeny generally improve with distance and experience). With only two rivals of moderate recent form, Najidi Storm should control this from the front or mid-division and has plenty in hand on ratings/weight allotted by the assessor. This looks a straightforward match-up in his favour, and he's the deserved market leader on all known form.
