The Verdict

FormCast selectionCut And SewConfidence 3/5
Small maiden field with limited exposed form. Cut And Sew has the best form figures (35) suggesting she's already flirted with placing and is race-fit, by Starman (a fast, precocious sprint sire) which suits this 6f trip well. Ed Walker's yard is strong with juvenile sprinters and Kieran Shoemark takes over from a good yard. Her draw in stall 1 isn't ideal but at Goodwood over 6f low draws can still get a fair run, especially with a small field of five. Wig Wam Bam (form figure 8) is interesting on pedigree - Blue Point is an elite sprint influence - but a single-figure form line with no placing suggests she needs to step forward markedly, and Tom Marquand/Jack Channon is a live yard but she's unproven. Motown Filly (27) has already been placed but hasn't gone one better and the manner of those efforts is unclear from the bare form. Gobby Grace is a total unknown quantity first-timer for Richard Hughes, whose 2yo debutantes can go well fresh but she's an unknown risk in a race where others already have solid form to fall back on. Cubbie's Dream's form figure 9 looks like a well-beaten effort. Overall this looks a moderate maiden without a stand-out, but Cut And Sew's form and pedigree combination for the trip gives her the best-founded chance, and she looks over-priced relative to a probable favourite status if forecast prices are tight among the group.
