Cork 5:45 Result

This is a wide-open 18-runner fillies' maiden with plenty of unraced types from top yards, making form-proven runners with genuine placed efforts stand out. Admired Beauty (2-8) has already been placed twice from two starts (form figures 28), showing she handles the track/business and is progressing under a top training operation (Jim Bolger) with Declan McDonogh booked, a jockey/trainer combo with strong strike rates at Irish tracks. Her sire Blue Point offers speed and the dam-side suggests she should stay 7f without trouble given she's already raced competitively without being seen off. Alpine Wedding (3) is the most experienced with figures 5354 and a rating of 89, but her figures suggest she's flattered by numbers alone and hasn't threatened to win, with a wide draw (18) at Cork potentially compromising her from a tricky stall. Sarah's Choice (16) with 24 form is interesting but drawn poorly and by Blue Point, could go well but has more established rivals ahead of her in the market pecking order typically. The AP O'Brien pair (Golden Ring, Haven) both were only 7th/8th on debut, hardly inspiring, though bred well - not enough evidence of engine yet. Among unexposed types, Castilian Queen (Frankel ex a Juddmonte/Lyons combo) could be dangerous but is a complete unknown, as are several others (Hanawa, Maple Leaves, Mary Celeste, Native Dawn, Emana, Flambe Fleur, Atlantic Rose) - backing an unraced type in an 18-runner field is a coin-flip. Admired Beauty offers the best blend of proven ability, a positive trajectory (finishing 2nd last time out), and a positive input from a shrewd handler in Bolger who targets these META races well. She looks value against open-form fillies and unexposed newcomers who carry more risk in a field this size.
