Misunderstood looks the classy type on pedigree and has been building nicely (774522) but is 4 and still finding a mark, and drawn tricky in 6; he'll need to overcome traffic. Mr King's early season slump followed by a big last-time-out effort (-67185) is interesting but the big weight of 137lbs and questionable big field draw (10) go against. Coolree is consistent (624373) but seems to plateau around minor-placed efforts rather than winning. Supreme Clarets' trainer Richard & Peter Fahey has a strong record with home-improving sprinters, and the switch to this class following his rapid crescendo of form (2-2-4-1-1) suggests the yard is confident he can follow up. Draw 1 isn't ideal at Beverley for a stall-to-stall track bias concern, but with speed types drawn widish this year the inside can still work fine over 7f if he breaks well, and Fentiman's apprentice claim helps on the weights. Best of the improving sort at a fair price relative to more exposed rivals.
