Bellewstown 7:32 Verdict
Dolly's Bar & Pantry Fillies Maiden
The Verdict
FormCast selectionZadawaConfidence 4/5
Zadawa is bred to stay this trip well (Camelot out of a Dubawi mare) and has been progressive with a clear form pattern 4-3-2, finishing closer each time. Weld and the Aga Khan operation typically target maidens like this once they're ready to win, and adding the hood today for the first time suggests they're sharpening her up for the job. Chris Hayes takes over which is a positive booking. Cosmetic (AP O'Brien, Frankel filly) has the best figures on paper (OR82) but her profile 7-5524 shows she's flattered to deceive and hasn't gone on, plus this step up to 1m4f is unproven and she was well held recently. Shemiyka has solid form figures but the 20-day gap and drop back in class after a break, plus visor already tried, make me wary versus a filly like Zadawa who is clearly on the upgrade. Mawhibah (542) is respectable but hasn't shown quite the improvement trajectory. Given Zadawa's stepped-up form figures, being fresh from just 11 days off, proven stamina pedigree, and a training/riding boost, she looks the most likely to have progressed enough to win this maiden, and looks slightly overlooked compared to the shorter-priced favourites who have question marks of their own.
