Yarmouth 3:25 Result

Patrol has the strongest recent form of the field - 224363 shows consistent placing and racing at a high level with only 9 days since last run, suggesting fitness and stable confidence. The addition of a visor (v) headgear change is notable and often signals a positive intent to sharpen him up. He's dropped in class/grade recently and his OR of 74 matches the top-rated in this race alongside Rose Cotton and Triple Double A, but his form is more consistent (mostly in-the-money finishes) compared to Rose Cotton's mixed form (-12273, with a couple of poor runs) or Triple Double A's toggling form (775786) which shows more inconsistency. Draw 1 is workable at Yarmouth 1m2f, not a major detriment. Dark Angel sire line and Cunha yard have been in decent form. The soft ground shouldn't be a major issue given his solid current campaign. Triple Double A wears tongue-tie plus other headgear (tp) which suggests they're still trying to sort out a breathing issue, and his profile 775786 shows he flatters to deceive. Rose Cotton's yard (Tom Clover) is capable but her last two runs 7,3 after a promising 2 suggest she's found weaker company beneficial rather than dominant. Moonjid is interesting with 531754 but hasn't shown he can win at this class level recently. Given Patrol's consistent recent placing, positive headgear change, and fitness edge from a quick turnaround, he represents the best combination of solid recent form and market value in a competitive, closely-rated field.
