Varian's 3yo maiden/novice winners typically progress quickly and this looks a weak Class 4 field on official ratings — most rivals are either unproven (Eagleonthebalcony, Walk In Provence both no form) or have flattered-to-deceive form figures (Morty Robinson 05, Jetpack Jimmy 09, League Of Justice 64). Rua Mor has been off 88 days and his best form (0-55) doesn't inspire. Who's The Goat's solitary '3' finish is stale at 60 days off. The Jim Goldie pair (Eagleonthebalcony, Eagles Instinct) are bred for this trip (Gleneagles progeny often need it) but have shown little in public form bar a lowly 5th. Wootton Bassett sire line combined with a Kitten's Joy damsire suggests decent middle-distance speed, ideal for this 1m trip, and Ray Dawson retains the ride suggesting continuity of confidence from the yard.
