The Verdict
FormCast selectionIris OliviaConfidence 4/5Didn't win
Iris Olivia is the only runner in the field with a genuine form line to work from and it reads well - a 7-2-3 sequence showing consistent placed efforts, including a recent third only 23 days ago, suggesting she's fit and progressive. She holds an official rating of 77 which, while modest, at least gives a quantifiable level in a race full of unknowns. Persian Force is a sprint-oriented sire whose stock generally act well fresh and over 6f, and the fact she's already raced three times at two suggests she's sharp and tactically experienced - a big plus in a competitive 8-runner maiden sprint where most rivals are stepping into the unknown on debut. Jason Hart takes over and Kevin Philippart de Foy has a knack with placing fillies for Amo Racing, a powerful team. The rest of the field is a mix of debutants (Alice Inher Palace, Casting Coach, Maigue Magic, Wedyan) with no form to assess bar pedigree, and two fillies who ran once and finished down the field (Bling 5th, From Afar 6th, Sayidah Bahra 4th) - none of which screams above-average ability yet. From Afar is by Baaeed which brings some black-type pedigree appeal but the form (6th) doesn't inspire confidence without more evidence. Given the lack of proven quality elsewhere, Iris Olivia's experience and consistent placing form make her the most solid, weighable proposition in a race that otherwise resembles a lottery. She looks the value source of a genuine formful contender being underestimated relative to a field of question marks.
