The Verdict
FormCast selectionEnchanted QueenConfidence 4/5Won ✓
Enchanted Queen has the strongest form on offer - a 232 record shows she's already been placed in solid company and is clearly capable of winning a maiden/novice like this. She carries an official rating of 80, the highest of any confirmed-form runner in the field, well clear of Yimmna's 76. George Boughey is a shrewd trainer with fillies at this level, and Billy Loughnane is a capable young rider. The long absence (342 days) is a slight concern but she was clearly progressive last time she ran and a fresh, well-bred filly returning for a stable of this quality is a leading type. Yimmna (722 form, OR 76) is the obvious market rival with Haggas/Marquand, and her placed efforts are solid, but her rating is lower and she hasn't shown the same level of form as Enchanted Queen's second-place efforts. Cosmic Girl (Balding/Murphy, form 36) is interesting with a big update in the market due to the booking, but a 6th earlier in her form line raises questions, and it's unclear this beats Enchanted Queen's profile. The unraced/no-form fillies (Noozhaa, Pointed, Tilsworth Emma) are precisely that - unknown quantities from decent yards, but stepping into this from no experience against fillies with proven form is a tall order first time. Queen Of Hope and Sakura Impact both have single-run form (5th and 3rd) that doesn't scream well enough to trouble the principals. Overall Enchanted Queen's superior form/rating combination looks the strongest single form angle in this novice, and I'll back her to resume winning ways.
