Driveonwill (6) also has a strong recent record (-U1U01) with a recent win and looks the main market rival, but Anodandawink's improvement curve and the way he's winning suggests he's still on an upward trend and yet to hit his ceiling, whereas several of his more experienced rivals (Howdoyalikeherhome, Ringdufferin, Littlebiggie) are treading water with inconsistent efforts (mixing fair placed efforts with fallers/pulled-up runs). In a big 18-runner handicap chase, class and recent scintillating form matter, and Anodandawink's figures/trajectory clearly exceed this grade. The concern is a step up in weight/grade but he's already proven he handles pressure by winning twice on the bounce. Backing the in-form, rapidly progressive youngster with a leading connection (McManus) over more exposed, workman-like rivals.
