Chepstow 4:35 Result

Top-rated on official figures (OR 85) with the clear formline highlight - a recent 6th in a stronger race sandwiched between wins, and her form figure "39-761" shows a win last time out. Ralph Beckett is a top-tier trainer with a strong record placing lightly-raced fillies to advantage in valuable handicaps, and Rossa Ryan is a premier jockey booking, suggesting stable confidence. She carries a 9lb+ rating edge over most of this large 16-runner field, and with a good draw (5) should get a fair passage in a race where several dangers are drawn wide (16, 17). Her dam-sire Redoute's Choice and sire Blue Point profile suggests she has speed and versatility for a good-to-soft mile. The main market rivals - Talis Evolvere (OR79) and Nakaaha (OR78) - are both giving weight away to Revelance yet are unproven to be materially superior; Talis Evolvere's recent form (827665) is moderate and he's drawn wide in 16. Nakaaha ran creditably last time (102) but is 7lb worse off than Revelance on official marks and needs the softer ground to be fully proven. Several improving lower-weighted types (Too Much Trevor, Redhot Whisper, Homeland) are on the up but have to find lumps of weight for class, and are unproven at this level against a filly of Revelance's assessed ability. Given the big field, trip and ground suit, and the class/stable angle, Revelance looks the most solid win case, even without being a standout price.
