The most recent figure is a 1, indicating a win, backed up by consistent placed efforts (3,4,9) prior. Her OR of 97 is second highest in the field behind West Acre (99), but she looks fresher and more progressive - a 4yo filly still on an upward curve versus West Acre who has been running around similar marks with a moderate recent effort (form 4-5300 shows inconsistency, including a fair few 0s). Edward Bethell is in excellent form with sprinters and Oisin Orr riding suggests confidence. Draw 6 is workable at Ascot 5f, not an extreme outlier. She has the class edge over most of this field bar West Acre, and her profile of trending in the right direction (finishing with a win) versus West Acre's more mixed recent efforts makes her the stronger bet at what should be bigger odds than the raw OR favourite. West Acre's headgear (blinkers) first-time or recently applied is unproven, adding risk, while Fluorescence's yard is flying and she looks the more solid, progressive type dropping into a race she can dominate with a stronger gallop. I'm siding with the classy, in-form filly over the topweight who has more questions to answer on his last starts.
